Welcome, I’m so excited you’re here!
Join us for #LokiLovesInktober 2025 in partnership with WWF-Australia. This October, let’s create art, connect as a community, and shine a light on the incredible species and ecosystems that need our care.

What's Inktober?

Inktober is a global art challenge that began in 2009 to inspire positive drawing habits and creative connection. Every October, thousands of artists worldwide create daily artworks in response to themed prompts. Since then, countless spin-off challenges have grown — and #LokiLovesInktober is one of them! Started by Jake Parker in 2009, Inktober is now followed by thousands of participants every year. Though there is one ‘official’ Inktober prompt list, the challenge has spawned hundreds of spin-off prompt lists, like this one!

What is #LokiLovesInktober?

Created by artist Vanda Cummins, #LokiLovesInktober blends creativity with conservation. Each year, we partner with a leading conservation organisation to raise awareness about threatened species and habitats. In 2025, we are proud to partner with WWF-Australia, using the power of art to amplify their mission and inspire positive change for nature.

How the challenge works?

Throughout October, we'll explore 31 unique prompts, each spotlighting a different threatened species. Every day, you'll have the opportunity to create artwork inspired by these incredible creatures, learn about their habitats, and discuss the challenges they face. Join our vibrant community in the Facebook group for live creation sessions and engaging discussions as we work through the prompts together. Let’s make a difference through art while having fun and connecting with others!

Our 2025 Partner: WWF Australia - World Wide Fund Australia

Where creativity meets conservation 🎨

WWF-Australia is part of the world’s largest independent conservation organisation - WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) - which began in 1961 with a bold mission: to protect the natural world and help people live in harmony with nature. Since opening its doors in 1978 with just three passionate staff in a humble Sydney factory, WWF-Australia has grown into the nation’s leading environmental conservation organisation, backed by nearly 1.3 million supporters who care deeply about our planet.

Our mission is bold: to regenerate nature by 2030. Guided by the wisdom and traditions of First Peoples and local communities, we’re restoring ecosystems across Sky, Country and Saltwater - healing land and sea in ways that honour culture, protect biodiversity, and bring lasting change for climate, nature, and people.

Why do I do this?

This challenge is a labour of love that combines my passion for art and nature. Conservation is my driving force, and I believe creativity connects us deeply to the natural world. Each October, I use this time to try new techniques, grow as an artist, and celebrate biodiversity.

By creating together, we celebrate our wildlife, support conservation, and inspire others to care for the planet 🌿🎨💚

As an artist, Inktober is a magical time for me as I first discovered it in 2019 and I enjoyed the challenge and community aspect of it so much I take part every year no matter what else is going on. I use this time to try new techniques/styles and to learn more about myself as an artist.  I hope you'll join in. Love Vanda x

🌿Join us in protecting Australia’s wildlife and wild places
This October, artists and nature-lovers are coming together through #LokiLovesInktober to raise awareness and raise funds for WWF-Australia.
By donating to our team, you’ll be supporting WWF’s critical conservation work, including:

  • Safeguarding threatened species like koalas, gliders, and marine turtles

  • Restoring forests and habitats after bushfires and land clearing

  • Working with farmers, fishers, and communities for sustainable futures

  • Tackling the climate crisis and driving renewable energy solutions

Since 1978, WWF-Australia has been a powerful force for nature, and with nearly 1.3 million supporters, they continue to be Australia’s most trusted environmental organisation. Together, we can ensure that future generations live in a country rich in biodiversity, beauty, and balance.
Your donation — big or small — will help WWF protect the nature we all love.
